Samsung is the second highest mobile selling company in the UK. Samsung is currently top of the prepay charts and just three per cent behind Nokia with 27 per cent of the market. And Sony Ericsson is on number third and close behind with 26 per cent according to the Latest GfK sales figures. Samsung, one of the leading brand names across the world, shares a long association with industry of home appliances. After reigning as a market leader in the home appliances industry for years, it turned towards the mobile phone industry. Here the competition level was a bit higher then what it was in the home appliance industry

The credit goes to Samsung's Windows Mobile Omnia phone, which is launched last week, will help it close the gap for contract sales further, said Samsung vice president for the UK and Ireland Mark Mitchinson (pictured with i850).According to Mark Mitchinson, the UK prsident of Samsung mobile phones, “ We can be UK number one and There's no reason why we can't be number one”. And this may be true because Samsung is only three per cent behind and they have 30 per cent plus share of the market by the end of the year.
